About
Founded on principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability, the Fair Recruitment Charter was born from a collective frustration shared across industries: jobseekers, hiring managers, and recruitment professionals alike were fed up with opaque hiring processes, ghosting, vague job adverts, and inconsistent standards.
Launched in 2025 by a coalition of cross-industry stakeholders — including HR leaders, agency founders, DEI experts, and jobseekers themselves — the Charter was created to raise the bar across recruitment. We believe hiring should be fair, respectful, and trustworthy — for everyone involved.

Why We Exist
Every job posted impacts someone’s life. Every interview scheduled demands preparation and hope. We exist to make sure that recruitment is not only effective, but ethical. Too often, good intentions are let down by poor process, misaligned incentives, or systemic shortcuts.
Our Mission
To transform recruitment into a practice that is accountable, transparent, and human — through clear standards, certification, and community.

Our Goals
-
Restore trust in recruitment by certifying processes that meet high ethical standards.
-
Create accountability across internal and agency hiring teams.
-
Drive consistency by providing benchmarks and best practice frameworks.
-
Give candidates confidence that every opportunity they pursue is legitimate, well-managed, and fair.
Built with Industry, for Industry
We’re proud to have consulted across sectors — from tech to construction, professional services to public sector — to ensure the Charter is robust, practical, and adaptable. We work closely with recruiters, HR teams, compliance specialists, and diversity champions to ensure our criteria are relevant and future-facing.
Whether you’re an in-house talent leader or an agency professional, becoming certified shows your commitment to a better standard of hiring — one rooted in respect, clarity, and responsibility.
